Palaiokastritsa is 25 km away from the center of Corfu Town. It consists of two peninsulas and six small bays.The tourist facilities and the holiday homes do not adversely affect the scenic landscape. In the northern peninsula of the area, it is built the monastery of Panagia Palaiokastritissas, which was founded in 1225.
